ClosePatrick Gimlett is a Managing Director at AB Private Credit Investors, an $8.4Bn middle market credit fund. Gimlett leads the team’s originations activities in the energy sector and covers generalist financial sponsors located in Dallas and Houston. He also assists with fund-raising and deal-sourcing within AB’s financial advisor network. Gimlett was previously with GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services Group, where he originated investments in the oil and gas and midstream industries. Gimlett holds a BBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame. He lives in Houston with his wife (Julie) and daughter (Lila).
Grant Butkus is a Managing Director with RBC Richardson Barr where he leads corporate and asset transactions including joint ventures and structured investments. His experience includes all of the major basins in the Lower 48 for both public and private clients. Prior to RBC Grant was Head of A&D for Macquarie Capital and held several senior technical positions at ConocoPhillips. He has a Bachelor’s of Science from The University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Rice University.
Mary Kogut Brawley is a debt finance partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice spans a wide array of debt financing transactions, including the representation of private equity funds, hedge funds, mezzanine funds and private and public companies. Mary has successfully handled complex financings in connection with leveraged buyouts, public offerings, reserve-based financings and refinancings, and restructurings (including in-court and out-of-court restructurings, debtor-in-possession financings, and exit financings).
Known for her unique ability to calmly and masterfully advocate for clients in high stakes negotiations, Mary is a “go to” attorney for complex transactions. With clients ranging from EIG Global Energy Partners and Sanchez Energy Corporation to Apollo Global Management and LINN Energy, Mary has been involved in some of the most high profile recent acquisition-related financings and restructurings in the energy industry.
Tom Davidson is Editor for Acuris Studios, the sponsored events and publications division of Acuris. He focuses on event content and special features. Tom joined Creditflux in 2005 and moved to New York in 2012 to setup the Creditflux US office. After Creditflux was acquired by Acuris Global, he moved to the Studios team. He graduated from Cambridge University with an MSci in Natural Sciences.
